Dark Magic

I love wearing navy - be it on my clothes or on my accessories. So when a label pairs navy and florals with lil girly ruffles, I'm so there.

Also, hopefully everyone is re-energised after the Australia Day long weekend and enjoyed the festivities. I myself had to ferry things in the car back and forth to the new apartment. Trust me, it felt like work and it felt like I was constantly putting shoes away. I still have the big furniture move coming up tomorrow. Ugh. Let's never move house again. Or at the very least not for the next 4-5 years.

Lunartic

Took an afternoon walk around the neighbourhood for the last time before we have to move next week. Shot this while we were at it. I am loving this tank, I did get it awhile ago but I can't stop wearing it everywhere. Plus for summer it's pretty much perfect. Also this is probably the first photo where my tattoos are actually visible. I would consider getting more later down the track but we'll see. For now, happy Friday!

Midsummer

It seems I always love the same type of aesthetic. Bold floral dresses and playsuits are my go-tos come winter, summer, spring or autumn. There is no inappropriate time for florals in my head. In fact I'm wearing florals in the office right now and its a dreary gray outside. See? Like I said any time is a good time to wear florals.

Foreshore

I took Nick for a walk down the Perth foreshore, I mostly wanted to show him a tile near the belltower with my name on it. I signed it when I was in primary school and to this day it's still there. I was pretty chuffed with myself, not sure how much interest Nick had in it but he did snap some cursory photos. Haha. Oh well.

Cottesloe

I literally had the worst morning of the year! It can only get better from here right?

I missed my morning train by 30 seconds and waited for the next one and then I was one stop away from the city and realised I'd forgotten something I needed for work so I got off and waited for the next train back to my house. Then I ran home and ran back and missed ANOTHER train by another 30 seconds and had to wait for the next one. My phone is on 1% so zero entertainment for me and rode the quiet train back to the city by myself, hungry, because I haven't had breakfast and got to work all grumps and ready to start the day finally. So yeah its gonna be much better the rest of the year I hope.

On this shoot, I had my mum and Nick take these photos. Cottesloe is really beautiful and one of my closest friends got married in this location, it's absolutely gorgeous. A little departure from my usual florals.

Romance

Quick snaps at a graffiti-ed alleyway whilst I was in Perth. Urgh Mondays, am still struggs today. Time to top up the coffee.

This Year

I want to achieve the following:

1. Keep a diary of all my non-necessary purchases (things that are not food, services, toiletry items).

2. Travel to somewhere new whether internationally or domestically.

3. Reach my goal weight and maintain it.

4. Add to my repertoire of recipes. Last night I made a bacon & brocolli casserole with cauliflower rice, enough for two nights and two people. Also made a beef & vegetable stir-fry with slendia noodles the other night. So I'm definitely getting into this cooking thing.

5. Give people genuine compliments.

6. Update my blog regularly, for others and for my own satisfaction.

7. Save for my next property.

8. Find a cute kitten / bunny to love me and be my new home buddy.

9. Not care so much about what other people think.

10. See more of my beautiful friends and family.

Lost Without You

My mum loves this tent like thing they have set up at Burswood. I guess it is kinda cool. She knows all the pretty places in Perth, her camera is like her best friend so she is always taking pictures. On a side note, I'm still thinking what my new year's resolutions should be - I should hurry up or it will be February soon. What are your new year's resolutions? Some inspiration would be wonderful

Rose Block

Shot at the new-ish Perth Arena, my first visit there actually and very busy as the Hopman Cup was on at the time. My mum pointed out a very interesting fact that on one of the metal plates fitted on the ground, if you stand there the steel frame will perfectly frame the building exterior. Try that one out Perthians.
