Seminyak

We shot these at the hotel pool whilst it was nice and quiet. I loved staying in the Seminyak Beach Resort, it was convenient and was a stunning location by the beach. Infinity pool looks out towards the action on the beach which is fun. I haven't stayed anywhere else in Bali yet but I would probably come back here unless we were going to stay in Ubud. The only downside is if you want a chair by the pool after 10:30 / 11:00 am you won't be able to find any as people will go and reserve their spots by putting random items like one sandal or a book on it (#truestory). I do have some more photos of Bali and I'm trying to update as regularly as possible but laziness, being away has gotten the better of me. I will try to be better!

This location was like heaven. Like literal heaven, where else can you go to find a temple sitting on a lake on a mountain? It was absolutely stunning and serene. The drive was long but it was definitely worth it to see the majestic Pura Ulun Danu in Bedugul. On the way back we stopped by this strawberry restaurant, because strawberries are their specialty up in the mountains and they do the most amazing crepes. Yeah who knew?

Ion

Quick update of my last day in Singapore, I don't even remember what I did, but I guess walking along Orchard Rd was part of it? Everyone takes photos with the colourful statues in front of Ion so I did as well, albeit not your usual photos...I'm weird like that. This particular one was the best of an unfortunate bunch. Lol.

Sorry about the hiatus again, suddenly work peaked and holidays seems like a lifetime ago! Backtracking to day 4 in Singapore doing touristy things with my partner in crime, Shirley. We got so excited about this LOVE sign, we passed by it in a cab and then had to go find it again the next day! We toured Chinatown as well and dropped into the Heritage Centre. You can relive the lives of early migrants into Singapore at this centre. I did have some photos but they were unfortunately quite dark. The building itself is a restored shophouse and restored living quarters. It shows how families used to live inside one bedroom with some original furnishings. For something different in Singapore I think it's well worth a visit. Of course ended the day with some ice cream from my favourite grandma / grandpa partnership on Orchard Rd.

Canary

This was day 3 of my Singapore trip, hanging out at the hotel bar (Bar Canary) where now I know they serve some awesome daiquiris. There's a picture of me with this giant daiquiri somewhere on my insta. A giant part of me being in Singapore is eating Kaya toast - so that was a ritual everyday for us at Killineys, and also a little bit of shopping browsing seeing as we were staying at Grand Park Orchard on Orchard Road.
The hotel itself was in a really good location and is decently new. The only downside is our room faced the bar, so if you were looking for a super quiet hotel, this isn't one for you. The night we arrived was ladies night and the party was definitely pumping.

Visited Gardens by the Bay on day 2 of Singapore. The place was absolutely stunning, I've never seen anything like it! You have to pay to get into the conservatories, of which there are two (that's how I've split the photos), but the rest of the gardens are free to access. In Cloud Forest, you're greeted by a giant man-made waterfall, which is a tower that you can walk through inside to get to the top where there are bridges providing amazing views of the surrounding bay. Also it has the most amazing vertical garden on the tower, with tropical plants the likes I've never laid my eyes on.

First day shots of Singapore. I'd like to think I really pack in heaps of activities on holidays, I get up early, I go for a run, then do all the sightseeing stuff that I have on my list. A lot of people think there's really not that much to Singapore but if like the ad says you "get lost" there is actually a lot to see and do. Spent the morning wandering on Orchard Road with this promo (too cute to pass up), then saw my dad for lunch at Clarke Quay's Jumbo (chilli crab, what else?) where these beautiful colourful houses are! So much pink!
