I think Sydney is finally over the rainy hump and ready to welcome spring. Yesterday was a particularly nice day which I spent having sushi outside in the sun with some green juice. We were also looking for some shoes for the boy, boring but believe me, very necessary. Today, back into the crunch of work and I'm ready for lunch!

You can't tell in these pictures but it was a really really hot day. Visited this park called Garuda Wisnu Kencana where they are still trying to complete the biggest statue in the world (purportedly). The size of the separate parts of the statue itself are pretty amazing already. My only recommendation is to enjoy a meal at the restaurant outside of the park which has pretty amazing views.

We shot these at the hotel pool whilst it was nice and quiet. I loved staying in the Seminyak Beach Resort, it was convenient and was a stunning location by the beach. Infinity pool looks out towards the action on the beach which is fun. I haven't stayed anywhere else in Bali yet but I would probably come back here unless we were going to stay in Ubud. The only downside is if you want a chair by the pool after 10:30 / 11:00 am you won't be able to find any as people will go and reserve their spots by putting random items like one sandal or a book on it (#truestory). I do have some more photos of Bali and I'm trying to update as regularly as possible but laziness, being away has gotten the better of me. I will try to be better!

Catching some early morning sun post brunch last weekend. I have to stop and recommend this teeny cafe I went to, which was really unusual for me because it's quite far away from my usual hangs. It's called Shaw St Espresso, located in Bexley North, St George area. I was there because (like I mentioned before), had to get my teeth imprinted. Nick had baked eggs and he said it was the best he's had - it comes with pork belly and beans, and I had the healthy platter (that's what it was called) with prosciutto, avocado and ricotta and some eggs. It was so good. So I just wanted to recommend it, it's tiny, but food and coffee done well! I'm going there again this Saturday, surprise surprise.

Sorry for the hiatus but work has been extremely busy and I needed a break from all the online stuff. I hope everyone had an enjoyable break. I certainly did. My highlight would be the cinnamon cronut I had yesterday from Brewtown Newtown, definitely lived up to all expectations I had of a cronut. I highly recommend going there for brunch, the food was delicious. Nick and I also did a spot of Ikea shopping after that, just buying stuff we needed like new lamp shades and some frames for a couple of prints we are getting. Took these photos over a slow and leisurely walk we had around the neighbourhood together, having a quiet day with not many people around is nice and definitely one in a million.

Just like Alexa and her favourite denim shorts, this is my favourite plaid shirt that I can't ever part with. It's also flannel, which is a little bit redneck but that's okay cuz it's cozy. I'm hoping for really good weather tomorrow, so all my fingers and toes are crossed, because for the first time ever I'm going to the races. I'll let you know how that fares and hopefully can take some good pics on my own without Nick behind the lenses.

Er so I've got this giant stye on my left eye so the sunnies didn't come off at all for most of the weekend. I look like the Hunchback of Notre Dame without the hunch. My colleague told me to dip cotton balls in chamomile tea and swipe it on my eye, in the end all I had was green tea so I used the bag as a compress. It has sort of brought it down this morning but I'm still bleary eyed. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great! I've had it for like three days now! Gross - I tell everyone to look me in my good eye.
