Waves

Last day of Bali spent at the Seminyak. I miss the eternal beaches and lovely people already. I saw a couple doing their wedding rehearsal in this spot and it is stunning. I hope to come back again and maybe explore a different region next time. There are just so many things you could possibly see and do! If you love nightlife, cultural stuff, temples, beaches and water sports, there is just so much that Bali can offer you.

Seminyak

We shot these at the hotel pool whilst it was nice and quiet. I loved staying in the Seminyak Beach Resort, it was convenient and was a stunning location by the beach. Infinity pool looks out towards the action on the beach which is fun. I haven't stayed anywhere else in Bali yet but I would probably come back here unless we were going to stay in Ubud. The only downside is if you want a chair by the pool after 10:30 / 11:00 am you won't be able to find any as people will go and reserve their spots by putting random items like one sandal or a book on it (#truestory). I do have some more photos of Bali and I'm trying to update as regularly as possible but laziness, being away has gotten the better of me. I will try to be better!

Ulun Danu

This location was like heaven. Like literal heaven, where else can you go to find a temple sitting on a lake on a mountain? It was absolutely stunning and serene. The drive was long but it was definitely worth it to see the majestic Pura Ulun Danu in Bedugul. On the way back we stopped by this strawberry restaurant, because strawberries are their specialty up in the mountains and they do the most amazing crepes. Yeah who knew?

Clarke Quay

First day shots of Singapore. I'd like to think I really pack in heaps of activities on holidays, I get up early, I go for a run, then do all the sightseeing stuff that I have on my list. A lot of people think there's really not that much to Singapore but if like the ad says you "get lost" there is actually a lot to see and do. Spent the morning wandering on Orchard Road with this promo (too cute to pass up), then saw my dad for lunch at Clarke Quay's Jumbo (chilli crab, what else?) where these beautiful colourful houses are! So much pink!

Winter Colours

Another gardening escapade last weekend meant driving to Dural to visit multiple nurseries. It was rainy and cold. Brrr. We only came out with a planter and 10 plants, I mean we drive a Holden Barina so that's pretty much self explanatory. We are still on a quest to find some good screening plants. Any suggestions warmly welcomed.

On an extremely high note, we had Hungry Jack's for lunch before we came home. Hahaha highlight of the weekend, whoop whoop!

Plaid

Just like Alexa and her favourite denim shorts, this is my favourite plaid shirt that I can't ever part with. It's also flannel, which is a little bit redneck but that's okay cuz it's cozy. I'm hoping for really good weather tomorrow, so all my fingers and toes are crossed, because for the first time ever I'm going to the races. I'll let you know how that fares and hopefully can take some good pics on my own without Nick behind the lenses.

Another Weekend

I didn't realise that this is the first post with my new haircut. So new things eh? It's refreshingly short but higher maintenance than long hair. Have to straighten it after a wash every time. I have to be a bit better at updating this blog, but a lot has been going on and the new kitty sure keeps us busy on the weekend! Photos of my lil guy coming soon. He is having surgery today *sad face* Nick found him eating a loose nail from the back of one of our furniture, but it seemed like it didnt affect him as he is still jumping around. So I have all my fingers crossed that he will be okay.

Paisley

Hi guys, happy Tuesday again. Took these photos over the weekend when it was nice and sunny in my most favouritest dress that I bought ages ago. It's so easy to throw on and the best part is, it has pockets. It's paisley and quilted as well, and I love anything quilted. Dresses, bags, furniture. Quilt everything!

I also went to a new cafe / food place called Paramount Coffee Project in Surry Hills and I thoroughly recommend the Crab Po Boy, which is in a nutshell a soft shell crab burger. Nick said the coffee was good also. Worth the wait that's for sure.

Election day

Hope everyone enjoyed election weekend, really gripping stuff. I'm so into it I always vote below the line and stand there numbering. This year from 1 to 110. Then got home and watched the election coverage all night, I'm not even kidding.
