R.A.P in Peace

It's been awhile since I've done a set and I'm really in the mood for exercise this week hence the kind of sporty look. The weather has not been so supportive of that though, but one should never use that as an excuse to not keep moving. I'm also trying to re-learn ballet, but finding it's definitely tough and I'm not as flexible or that co-ordinated really, but I'm still trying my best. It helps that there is also a myriad of people in my class, some very good (I keep my eyes trained on those ones) and some who are like me just doing their best. The point of the story is, it's always worth it to keep trying. Happy Friday all!

Redfern

Sorry about the brief silence, work has been crazy. Shot this on the weekend when I went to Three Williams in Redfern. The food there is so good! Brace yourselves for a queue if you decide to go there though. Also, kind of an awkward location but I guess Redfern is getting a makeover. We walked around that morning trying to find a good spot to take a photo and there are already drunken people at the pub, in the morning, being rowdy. Dude, what time is it?! Sun is not yet over the yard arm (whatever that means).

Clear crisp winter days is what I'm all about. On a day like that, why avoid the beach? So I did more touristy stuff whilst back in Perth. Also, finally taught my mum how to handle my camera. We both have Canons but hers isn't a touch screen so the way to focus is different, so I told her to just tap the screen and finally all our problems were solved. Lol. Technology these days. Whilst there I finally found what I have been searching for, the beloved Saint Laurent nude monogramme chain bag. I died and so did my bank account.

Park Visit

Kings Park is always such a gorgeous backdrop to Perth, if you are ever a tourist in Perth I always recommend Kings Park. The lights at night against the trees are also stunning. Also, most people only go through the front part, but the park itself is huge, and if you drive through the park at night it makes for quite a creepy ride as some parts are not lit up at all. Have a good weekend guys.

Fremantle

Whilst on a whirlwind visit to Perth two weekends ago for my best friend's engagement, I managed to visit Fremantle and Bread in Common with my mum & grandma. The place is absolutely stunning and the service was very very good. I had the pork belly because I can't resist fatty meats and that was really good. It was a particularly windy and rainy day, but somehow the pictures turned out alright, many kudos to my mum.

Waves

Last day of Bali spent at the Seminyak. I miss the eternal beaches and lovely people already. I saw a couple doing their wedding rehearsal in this spot and it is stunning. I hope to come back again and maybe explore a different region next time. There are just so many things you could possibly see and do! If you love nightlife, cultural stuff, temples, beaches and water sports, there is just so much that Bali can offer you.

You can't tell in these pictures but it was a really really hot day. Visited this park called Garuda Wisnu Kencana where they are still trying to complete the biggest statue in the world (purportedly). The size of the separate parts of the statue itself are pretty amazing already. My only recommendation is to enjoy a meal at the restaurant outside of the park which has pretty amazing views.

On the day we finally drove up to Ubud it was raining the whole day. The first thing we did was have lunch of course, gotta ease those hunger pangs after 2 hours of being in the car. We ate at Bebek Tepi Sawah, which translates to Ducks by the Rice Paddies, though no ducks in sight, bar the ones on my plate. We followed it up by walking around at Teras Iring, which was gorgeous rice paddies at a height. Caution on being duped by the cute kids who are trying to sell packets of postcards there for $10 each, they make it hard to say no because they have perfected the sad puppy dog face. We then went to a coffee plantation, where we had some civet coffee. I highly recommend going because they grow all sorts of plants there, not just coffee and they can give you a guided tour on what is what. The plantation we went to was called Sebatu and our guide was really lovely.

Kecak

Happy Friday guys! Bringing you some Kecak snapshots in Bali, I've watched it quite a few times but never like this. On a clifftop in Uluwatu. My driver said if there is a sunset that evening it makes the perfect backdrop to the show. Unfortunately for most of the time I was there it was quite cloudy but on the upside nice and cool. Finished up the evening with fresh seafood at Jimbaran, the best place for grilled fish and crustaceans. Also I'm wearing this dress from Beka, a Balinese designer, that Nick doesn't love, but then again he's not the one wearing it. So I bought it anyway. Girls gotta make up their own minds right?
