Overall, I'm Happy

I finally found the holy grail, I've been looking for a pair of skinny overalls for awhile now (since the US summer) and saw some super cute ones from Black Orchid which sold out pretty quickly, then I haven't found anything else since. However on the opening weekend of the Macquarie Centre, where H&M also newly opened, I found these in my size! Amazing. The trickiest bit was trying it on, and it isn't the most glamorous thing in the world, but I wore a flared skirt and a simple fitted cami so I can try stuff on either under the skirt or over my top. This way I didn't need a fitting room, which was convenient in the end because the line went from the back of the store to pretty much the front of the store.

I couldn't pick between all these shots, so have them all! One of my favourite shoots to date, and just so happened it was a REALLY hot day and I'm wearing a skin tight long sleeved crop top. Hopefully you can't really tell I'm sweltering! Also because I'm on a tennis court, I brought along one of my favourite sneaks. Cuz why not?

Everywhere I look, summer is around the corner. I got to enjoy a really hot long weekend and now I'm back at work. We jumped at the opportunity of the 30 degree weather and went to Manly beach on Sunday, though it seems the rest of Sydney also had the same idea. We were lucky enough to find unlimited parking, in the shade and very close to the beach (triple threat) which actually REALLY made my day.

Hay guys, it's now a beautiful sunny day albeit it didn't start that way. Tackling the day in the most efficient manner possible today as lots to do. Also I'm still keeping up with ballet (third week this week)! The bestest parcel just arrived at my desk this morning as well, which has really perked me up for the day. Happy hump day all!

You can't tell in these pictures but it was a really really hot day. Visited this park called Garuda Wisnu Kencana where they are still trying to complete the biggest statue in the world (purportedly). The size of the separate parts of the statue itself are pretty amazing already. My only recommendation is to enjoy a meal at the restaurant outside of the park which has pretty amazing views.

On the day we finally drove up to Ubud it was raining the whole day. The first thing we did was have lunch of course, gotta ease those hunger pangs after 2 hours of being in the car. We ate at Bebek Tepi Sawah, which translates to Ducks by the Rice Paddies, though no ducks in sight, bar the ones on my plate. We followed it up by walking around at Teras Iring, which was gorgeous rice paddies at a height. Caution on being duped by the cute kids who are trying to sell packets of postcards there for $10 each, they make it hard to say no because they have perfected the sad puppy dog face. We then went to a coffee plantation, where we had some civet coffee. I highly recommend going because they grow all sorts of plants there, not just coffee and they can give you a guided tour on what is what. The plantation we went to was called Sebatu and our guide was really lovely.

Sorry about the hiatus again, suddenly work peaked and holidays seems like a lifetime ago! Backtracking to day 4 in Singapore doing touristy things with my partner in crime, Shirley. We got so excited about this LOVE sign, we passed by it in a cab and then had to go find it again the next day! We toured Chinatown as well and dropped into the Heritage Centre. You can relive the lives of early migrants into Singapore at this centre. I did have some photos but they were unfortunately quite dark. The building itself is a restored shophouse and restored living quarters. It shows how families used to live inside one bedroom with some original furnishings. For something different in Singapore I think it's well worth a visit. Of course ended the day with some ice cream from my favourite grandma / grandpa partnership on Orchard Rd.

Canary

This was day 3 of my Singapore trip, hanging out at the hotel bar (Bar Canary) where now I know they serve some awesome daiquiris. There's a picture of me with this giant daiquiri somewhere on my insta. A giant part of me being in Singapore is eating Kaya toast - so that was a ritual everyday for us at Killineys, and also a little bit of shopping browsing seeing as we were staying at Grand Park Orchard on Orchard Road.
The hotel itself was in a really good location and is decently new. The only downside is our room faced the bar, so if you were looking for a super quiet hotel, this isn't one for you. The night we arrived was ladies night and the party was definitely pumping.
